After his 5-0 shutout win against the Royals, Siro Carreiro said, "I went out there to try and eat up innings and help out our bullpen. I felt I had my good stuff... and it turned out my command was solid and my breaking balls were good."
They were better than good as the Rangers pitcher put up 10 strikeouts, surrendered 1 walk, allowed 6 hits and kept the bullpen phone quiet all day long.
In 2033 Carreiro has compiled a 10-17 record with a 3.97 ERA in 33 starts.

 | Wednesday, September 28th, 2033: League Gives Dimartino Suspension
Steven Dimartino's disrobing act in yesterday's 0-0 loss to the Seattle Mariners at Ewing M. Kauffman Stadium cost him a 2-game suspension. The league office informed the Kansas City Royals today that their right fielder would be suspended for "his poor conduct and unacceptable behavior that made a farce out of the game."
After being called out on strikes, Dimartino was ejected by the home plate umpire after a heated and animated discussion. In protest for the ejection, he proceeded to throw his bat down, take off his batting gloves, cap, shirt, socks and shoes and left them at home plate, refusing to pick them up.
Asked about the suspension, Dimartino sheepishly told reporters, "I did a stupid and embarrassing thing. Let's just leave it at that."
On the season, Dimartino is batting .278 with 2 home runs and 52 RBIs. He has played in 142 games.

| Friday, September 23rd, 2033: Royals Aldea Silences Anaheim
The Angels were no match for George Aldea of the Kansas City Royals. He totally shut down Anaheim at Ewing M. Kauffman Stadium. In the 1-0 win, Aldea tossed a 3-hitter, struck out 6, and walked 0.
Thus far this season Aldea has posted a 10-9 record, started 29 games, struck out 176 batters in 199 innings and compiled a 3.26 ERA.
