Monday, September 12th, 2033: Daley Belts 3 HR Against Chicago (N)
The St. Louis third baseman put on a dazzling display of power today at Busch Stadium against the Chicago (N) Cubs. In the 13-3 victory Kelton Daley penned his name into the record books, slamming a trio of home runs in one of baseball's finest single day efforts.

What a display it was -- three home runs, 3 hits in 4 at-bats, 7 RBIs and 3 runs scored.

It certainly was a day for the league record books.

"He can hit them out anywhere, right, center, left, it doesn't matter," the Chicago (N) manager said. "He's super strong and stays on the ball so good."

Talking about his theory of hitting after the game, Daley said, "Life will always throw you curves, just keep fouling them off... the right pitch will come, and when it does, be prepared to run the bases... or trot around the bases... like I did today."

So says the latest person to hit three homers in a game.

K. Daley struck out in the 1st, hit a three-run home run off J. Lizotte in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off M. Silverman in the 5th, hit a two-run home run off M. Stamp in the 6th and walked in the 8th.

On the season, Daley is batting .243 with 33 home runs and 89 RBIs. He has played in 143 games.
Wednesday, August 31st, 2033: Lanoue Spins Shutout Against New York (N)
New York (N) bats were ice cold today at Busch Stadium. St. Louis's Jarvis Lanoue chilled them down with a 6-0 victory. In a fine outing, the 32-year-old hurler allowed 4 hits while striking out 7 and walking 1.

In 26 starts this season Lanoue has notched a 12-11 record and a 4.07 ERA.
