The San Francisco Giants have finalized a deal with All Star-caliber starting pitcher Diego Ugarte that will extend his stay in San Francisco at least 6 years and will pay out $134,000,000.
In his career Ugarte has compiled an ERA of 3.30 with 163 victories and 83 defeats and has held opponents to a .485 batting average.

Padres second baseman Philip Hansen went 4-for-5 and reached the 2000-hit milestone yesterday, but San Diego still lost the game 7-6 to the San Francisco Giants.
Hansen has hit for a .314 career average and totaled 2001 hits, 125 home runs and 741 RBIs.

| Saturday, September 10th, 2033: Thibodaux Slams 5 Hits for San Francisco
It was high-5 day at Pacific Bell Park, at least for Willard Thibodaux of the San Francisco Giants. He got a lot of high-5's from his teammates for his outstanding hitting against the Los Angeles Dodgers. Thibodaux smashed 5 hits in 5 at-bats on his record-setting day, leading his club to a 9-0 win.
His manager said, "Willard was hitting everything. It really was a special game for him."
In the other dugout the opposing manager told BNN beat writers, "He ambushed my boys today. Obviously we didn't have much success against him, but luckily, tomorrow is another day. Hopefully it will be our day to shine."
W. Thibodaux singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and hit a two-run home run off G. Rivera in the 8th.
For the season, Thibodaux is hitting at a .221 clip with 9 home runs, 34 RBIs and has scored 74 runs. He has 116 hits, 90 walks and a .341 on-base percentage.
