| Breaking News | | Monday, October 17th, 2033: Jacobo Stays Put in Toronto Toronto officials and Leandro Jacobo shook hands on a $5,540,000 deal today. The extension will keep Jacobo from becoming a free agent for at least 2 years.
In 2033 Jacobo is currently batting .255 with 12 home runs and 49 RBIs. In 156 games he has reached base at a .309 rate and scored 88 runs to date. | | Saturday, September 17th, 2033: Arceniaga Bashes 3 HR for Texas Texas left fielder Esteban Arceniaga sensed he was going to have a good game at the plate, but he underestimated just a little bit. Prior to the game, Arceniaga predicted he would hit a home run against the Toronto Blue Jays.
During batting practice he told his teammates, "I really got my swing down pat. I feel some thunder in the lumber. I'm gonna get me a home run in this game."
He was right. He did hit a home run -- three of them, in fact -- pacing the Rangers over the Blue Jays 10-1.
"I was seeing good, feeling good and swinging good," Arceniaga told reporters after the game.
To go along with the homers, he collected 3 RBIs and scored 3 runs.
E. Arceniaga flied out in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off C. Holden in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off C. Holden in the 5th and hit a solo-shot off S. Hunter in the 7th.
This year Arceniaga has collected a .270 batting average to date with 136 hits in 503 at-bats, 80 RBIs, 21 home runs and scored 68 times. He has played in 140 games. | | Wednesday, September 14th, 2033: Red-Hot Serrano Scorches Orioles Toronto shortstop Maximo Serrano put on quite a show at SkyDome with a big 5-hit day. But all for naught. The Blue Jays were beaten 10-8 by the Baltimore Orioles.
In the postgame interview he said, "The team didn't do too well today, but it was a good one for me, at least at the plate... 5-5... wish I could do this more often. It would do wonders for my batting average... and my salary, too. But I could do without the losing."
M. Serrano singled in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 8th and hit an RBI single in the 9th.
This year Serrano is hitting .217 with 15 home runs and 53 RBIs to his credit. He has gotten on base at a .273 clip and scored 50 runs. | | | | Team Information | | Record overall | 60-102, .370 PCT | | Position in Division | 4th, 36.0 GB | | Record at home | 32-49, .395 PCT | | Record on the road | 28-53, .346 PCT | | Record in X-inning games | 7-5, .583 PCT | | Record in one-run games | 15-26, .366 PCT | | Record versus LHP | 10-32, .238 PCT | | Record versus RHP | 50-70, .417 PCT | | Record last 10 games | 2-8, .200 PCT | | Record in April | 7-18, .280 PCT | | Record in May | 12-17, .414 PCT | | Record in June | 11-15, .423 PCT | | Record in July | 5-20, .200 PCT | | Record in August | 16-12, .571 PCT | | Record in September | 9-18, .333 PCT | | Record in October | 0-2, .000 PCT |
