Telmo Leon has the tools to stick in this league for many years, but it might be a long time before he has another week to compare with this one. The 24-year-old right fielder of the Cleveland Indians dominated the American over the past seven days to win Player of the Week honors.
Leon batted .458 with 11 hits in 24 at-bats, 4 home runs and 10 RBIs.
This year Leon is hitting .282 with 17 home runs. |

For the Toronto Blue Jays, it's time for a change. And that change came today, when the team announced that Matt Lovell has just inked a deal to become their new general manager.
Only time will tell what impact this will have on the franchise. |

There's nothing like being in the prime of your baseball career -- and playing like it. Just ask Lee Kremer, the Santa Fe first baseman, who swung a sweet bat all week to not only aid his team, but also pick up the National Player of the Week honors.
Kremer piled up 12 hits in 27 at-bats, 3 home runs and 4 RBIs while hitting .444.
Presently Kremer is batting .307 with 13 home runs and 39 RBIs. He has played in 75 games and scored 45 times. |

Marred by front-office turnover after last season, the Boston Red Sox ushered in Mike Loveridge as their new general manager today, The 51-year-old told the fans and media during a press conference that he expected to earn their support.
"I'm not going to mince words," promised Loveridge. "I haven't earned your respect yet. If I do, it will be because I've put together a solid ballclub with the attitude it takes to compete at this level. I have a lot of confidence in my ability to do so, and I think there's enough talent here to start building something special." |
